- Warming Trend through mid-week
- Late Week Cold Front
- Minimal Rain Chances
- Hurricane Sam – Major Cat 4
Discussion:
After a gorgeous weekend, the pleasant Fall conditions will continue to start the week off. Highs will warm to the low 80s today under sunny skies. Temps will gradually warm to above-average highs into the mid to even upper 80s through Thursday. A cold front will bring back cooler temps late in the week, but rain chances remain non-existent. Another late weekend cold front will be our best shot at a few showers by Sunday.
Hurricane Sam
Sam intensified to a major category 4 hurricane this weekend. Sustained winds are at 130 mph and it’s moving NW at 7 mph toward the northern Leeward Islands. It will remain a major hurricane this week, taking a sharp turn north Wednesday. At this time, there is no threat to the Carolinas, but it will come very close to Bermuda by this weekend.
